All those who were eagerly waiting for Samsung Galaxy Beam will be very happy to learn that the company has officially launched its new phone in India. Popular as the projector phone, Galaxy Beam can now be bought from retail stores by paying a price of Rs. 29,990. Announced by Samsung at the beginning of the year at the Samsung forum, the Galaxy Beam GT-I8530 became so popular in India that the retailers had received pre-orders for the device. The USP of this phone is that it comes preinstalled with a projector which is believed to have 15 lumens of brightness. Some of the other things that Galaxy Beam can do for you are: project images of up to 50-inches and playback the media from the phone’s internal memory and external memory. Other features of the Samsung projector phone are that it runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, has a 4.0-inch touchscreen with 480 X 800 pixels resolution,  a 5MP auto focus camera as well as a 1.3MP front facing camera. Furthermore, the device comes with 8GB of internal storage with a microSD slot up to 32GB.  Powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, the phone is equipped with a 2,000 mAh battery.  The device also supports Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz, microUSB, USB 2.0 and GPS.
