The Core i5-6600k would come with a base frequency of 3.5 GHz, which can be further pushed to 3.9 GHz. The Core i7-9700k is clocked at 4.0 GHz and can move-up to 4.2 GHz. These models have four cores and Intel HD 530 graphics integrated. However the Core i7 model supports Hyper-Threading scheme by Intel that lets each core to execute together two threads. The Core i5 has 6 MB and Core i7 has 8 MB of L2 cache. Both the models support DDR3L or DDR4 RAM and use the latest LGA1151 socket. Computers incorporating any of these CPUs along with the Z170 motherboard shall have 16 lanes of PCI Express 3.0 connectivity initiating from the CUP directly. Both these models have 91W TDP ratings and would not have coolers in the box. Intel does not want any of the enthusiasts to utilize bundled coolers anyways. The Skylake generation is the ‘tock’ in the tick-tock product cycle of Intel. This proves it is based on a new technology that uses verified process of manufacturing. In this case, it is the 14nm node that was introduced with Broadwell early last year.    While these are the first of the Intel’s sixth general core family of Intel, variations are already under process to get them run on notebooks, ultra-thin tablets and small-form-factor devices.
